Advent Parish Mission

Santa Clara in Oxnard

OXNARD – The parish of Santa Clara, 323 S. E. Street, will be having Explaining Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist: An Advent Parish Mission, beginning on Monday, 5 December and concluding on Wednesday, 7 December 2022.

Fr Skip Thompson will present three one-hour conferences at 9:30am following the morning Mass and repeated at 6:30pm in the parish church.

The three talks will explore the who, what, how, and why of the Eucharist:

  • Monday: Christ’s own Teachings concerning His Real Presence
  • Tuesday: The Divine Science of Transubstantiation
  • Wednesday: Why Christ gave Us his Eucharist and Why it Matters

“God’s greatest gift to us is His Son, Jesus Christ. How many ways does Christ come to us? It’s more than you think! Catechism 1373 tells us the most sublime and special way is the Eucharist, the ‘source and summit of our faith’. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop’s has launched a national revival on the Eucharist”.
